European Publishing Summits – from London to Nice, let’s meet!

This week and next week are some busy weeks for us! Today, we’re flying over to London to join the Digital Publishing Innovation Summit by Innovation Enterprise. Next week, we’re heading south to Nice, France, for the Digiday Publishing Summit. Both events will provide some great opportunities to hear about new and ongoing challenges in the digital publishing market.

Digital Publishing Innovation Summit – Innovation Enterprise, London

Wednesday, October 19th – Thursday, October 20th

London TowerBridge small

The title of the Digital Publishing Innovation summit is “Engage, Grow and Establish Your Audience With Content”. With speakers like Ela Osterberger, Head of Audience Data and Insight at the Guardian, Alex White, Head of Digital Publishing at BBC Worldwide and Richard Evans, Head of Social Media and Audience Development, we’re looking forward to some interesting insights and discussions about the role of live video, how to align the needs of your audience and advertisers, and how to build trust with your readers. On Thursday, our attendees Sytze and Nick address the ‘building trust’ issue (amongst other things), when they present about the complicated role of social media in publishing, and how you can address these challenges. We will be at booth number 2, so let’s catch up there.

Digiday Publishing Summit Europe – Digiday, Nice

Wednesday, October 26th – Friday, October 28

Nice

The theme of the Digiday Summit  is “Profiting on Platforms”. As Digiday mentions, “platforms have proved their worth in generating audiences.” Options to use platforms for content distribution are limitless – however many publishers are trying to find out how they can profit from this. We are very excited to hear from leading digital publishers about this subject, such as Wolfgang Blau (Chief Digital Officer at Condé Nast International), Oliver Lewis (Head of Digital at News UK), and Oliver von Wersch (Managing Director Growth Projects and Strategic Partnerships at Grüner+Jahr Digital). And – it’s definitely an interesting theme for us, since we believe that the power of these platforms cannot only be used to distribute content, but also as a way to augment your own content with the voice of the crowd. Will you be at the Digiday Publishing Summit as well? We would love to dig in a little deeper and hear your thoughts about this!

We are looking forward to some great events and maybe we will see you there as well. Stay tuned for some updates on the events on social media and on the blog!

P.S: If you are joining either one of these publishing summits – let us know if you’d like to schedule a short chat to talk about your digital challenges and the role social media can play for content creation:

  • Schedule a meeting during the Innovation Enterprise Digital Publishing Innovation Summit in London (October 19 – 20).
