Damian recently joined Crowdynews and is working within the Research & Development team as AI Specialist. That means he’s involved in researching and implementing Crowdynews’ analysis tools. His team builds a specific part of the software that does smart/automated tasks, for example giving relevant social media recommendations for articles (Crowdynews Article Engager).
This combines wonderfully with his desire to build smart systems that learn from and adapt to their environment. He’s also interested in human perception and he feels that modelling (at least) parts of it into automated systems leads to exciting new products.
In his spare time he likes to go on long bike rides, watch movies, read books and he’s a big fan of snowboarding in the winter time. However lately he has been focusing on tweaking the soundscape analysis tool that he developed for his MSc thesis.
