Crowdynews dynamically generates compelling and relevant content pulled from Twitter based on a (news) site’s original content and allows any publisher to extend social media coverage for any piece of content.
It improves the quality of the content in a news web site with actual facts, opinions and more information and works effortlessly due to a ultimate degree of automated indexing, refining and filtering. Resulting in higher engagement and more page views and site traffic.
With Crowdynews, online newspapers can:
- supplement journalistic news with news, opinions and remarks from the crowd in a direct, clear and safe way
- present a complete news feed representing the convergence of traditional and online news with social media.
- maintain a central position in online – verified – news, and focus on quality.
How does it work - step by step?
We continuously pull articles from newspaper's RSS feed;
We analyze articles for a set of best matching keywords, using our proprietary AI based algorithms;
Leveraging our client’s Twitter accounts, we pull matching tweets from Twitter
We rank relevance based on our propriety AI based algorithms and determine sorting based on our client’s criteria;
We filter out profanity, duplicates, and normalize retweets;
We publish, on behalf of our newspaper clients, the most relevant, best filtered and curated Tweets available in a fully automated capacity.
How it is implemented
The implementation of the Crowdynews widgets is a very small effort for the client. Most of the work is done by the Crowdynews implementation team, according to the client’s needs and wishes. Some steps have to be executed by the client, to secure the relation between the client and Twitter.
- Step 1: create Twitter API email addresses
- Step 2: create Twitter account
- Step 3: provide Twitter account information
- Step 4: provide RSS feed
- Step 5: server setup
- Step 6: create demo page
- Step 7: generate widget
- Step 8: launch and support
Monetizing the user experience
Crowdynews provides two business models:
• the newspaper pays for the services of Crowdynews on a CPM model
• Crowdynews employs an advertising supported business model. Advertising appearing in the widgets can be sold by Crowdynews and revenues shared with the client newspaper.
In both models we don’t charge a set-up fee or other up-front costs. For more information, please contact one of our representatives.
